British Petro To Finance Asia's Largest Coal Mining Project Following the release of €1,211,000,000.00 (Initial) financing granted by British Petro, Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis will start a large magnitude drilling operation in the deep waters of Kwanza basin, in the south-west of Luanda. Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis' business activities will be exploring and producing oil and gas onshore as well as offshore and gas sales & distribution. The company will also have a substantial interest in Angola's largest liquefied natural gas plant (NLNG). The new offices will be based in Kwanza Basin and Luanda. Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis' oil refineries in Luanda will be able to meet domestic demand of 80,000 barrels per day, and capable of refining 1,000,000 additional barrels for export. Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis will produce light sweet crude oil containing low volumes of sulphur. It will be perfect for the processing of gasoline, kerosene and high quality diesel. Kwanza Basin, Angola
 Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis's Acquisitions Upon receipt of €1,211,000,000.00 (Initial), Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis will expend significantly its presence in Kwanza Basin, Angola through successful applications for three new exploration blocks in the deepwaters of Kwanza Basin. Following an international licensing round, Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis will sign three production sharing agreements with state-owned Sonangol in a period of five years. Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis will operate Blocks 37 and 22 with respectively a 70% and a 49% interest and be a partner with a 78% interest in Block 33. Sonangol is the concession holder for these acreages. All three blocks are located in Angola's largely under-explored deepwater Kwanza Basin. The main objective is to explore for pre-salt deposits in these blocks, which share promising geological similarities with the prolific Santos and Campos Basins in Brazil, where in recent years, major discoveries have been made in this type of play.
 New Refining Capacity The Empresa Comércio e Combustíveis facility will have the capacity to produce more than 1,000,000 barrels per day of oil and 500 MM standard cubic feet of gas per day.
